Hey all!
So youre all wondering how crazy was this weekend?? VERY CRAZY!!! Having 3 men stay at our house was interesting. . It was funny though, they were extremely interested in getting drunk all weekend, which was great for them, Im pretty sure they had a fabulous time!! I joined in on the drunkenness only one night. That's enough for me!! Vlad indulged a few more nights than me though. He ended up taking the four days off which was a nice break for him. Here are some pics fromt he stampede...
Live was playing a concert which was pretty cool. There were so many people there. We could hardly move, especially when they started playing. We had a pretty good day there, although we didn't do very much. Just drank. And also we ended up getting separated for about an hour which was NOT FUN!. I felt like a little kid waiting for my parent. I highly recommend making a meeting spot before you part ways. We also got a chance to see the fireworks that night too.
Here are Vlad, Patrick and Kevin playing over/under. It was so hot that day. But fun. This was about the time that we got separated. It's amazing how expensive it is to go to the stampede. Admission ALONE costs $13 which is ridiculous. A bottle of water is $3. Food... eek. I saw some people walking around with a wagon pulling food and drinks. Smart idea.

This is all of us. It was pretty cool though, there was this magician who was doing tricks along the grounds, and he stopped us and did some tricks. He was pretty cool. I did get his card, but i lost him. Great sense of humour, he made us all laugh, and at the end of it, he did a snap dance with Kevin. (Kevin had a thing with a snap dance all weekend.. dont even ask!) Plus, the song of the weekend was "Buy UA Drank". Wow, what a champion song that is...

Vlad and Adam..
Then was Saturday, the famous Margaritaville party. That was fun! ( yes and no). It was fun for everyone else except for me and Vlad! First of all, let me start off by saying, Vlad is not good in situations when cooking for a lot of people. I should have known this. The menu consisted of gougeres ( a french puff ball with cheddar and salt) and champagne, which was a huge hit. YUMMY!! The first course was a lovely baby greens salad with homeade french vineagrette which Vlad made from scratch (it was very good) and almonds. Then came the freaking pasta. We were trying, operative word "trying" to make a mushroom raviolis, with sauteed mushrooms, asiago cream sauce all wedged between two pieces of flat pasta like lasagne noodles. The only problem is that when we went to boil the stupid pasta, the first package just clumped together and every time we went to separate the pieces, they just fell apart. It was very frustrating. Then we tried a second package.. same thing. So we just used penne we had in the cupboard. (it was JUST enough).
The thing that really made me mad is that 2 people bailed out at the last minute. Key characters too. I guess I should have known as they always do this, but it was still disappointing. But the show must go on! And it did! Im just glad it's over and I can appreciate people who do this sooo much more now.

Me and my husband Coconut "nutty" Joe. He looked great with the straw hat and everything.
Patrick was "Jack Daniels" who was murdered. Adam "Sandy Beachbum" the surfer, and me , "Coconut Jane".
So I guess a good indicator was that people left at around 1 am. And i received a few emails thanking me and Vlad for the night. We were still cleaning up yesterday. And it was a scorching 30+ degrees inside the house.
But I think one of the funnest parts of the weekend was when me and Vlad got up early on Saturday morning and went to the Stampede together. ITS SO EXPENSIVE! We spent $60 for admission and 4 rides each. But we had a great time. We went into the horse exhibit and fell in love, absolutely in love with this Canadian Horse. He was gorgeous. We bonded with him for a good hour. And every time we went past his stall, he kept remembering us and we just hung out and pet him for so long! But there were so many gorgeous horses. We decided that we WILL own a horse or two in our lifetimes. WE MUST!!
So all in all , it was a succesful weekend. The guys ended up not making their flight due to a lack of fire under the ass, but they did make it on a midnight flight, so that was good.
One other thing... WERE GOING TO VEGAS IN SEPTEMBER!!!! SO excited. Hmm.. that's it for now!! Hope you enjoy the pictures! And I start my job for the catering company this weekend. Wish me luck!
Love , Mia
