Hi everyone!!
So we had our dinner party last night and it was a smash! (in a good way!)
The food was wicked, and my roasted vegetables were amazing. Moms mashed potatoes were spectacular. And it was nice to get everyone together for a good meal. Plus, oddly enough, we managed to keep everyting hot and fresh with just one oven!
So far it has been a pretty good christmas.
So now that the new year is coming, i was thinking about a new years resolution. ( i know its cheesy, but im not gonna make a stupid promise i cant keep, like starving my body from food, or making an exercise schedule i cant keep, or even to try and improve some relationships) This year, im gonna try and make a goal that i can attain that i want to share with everyone here!
IM GOING TO TRY AND BE CARBON NEUTRAL!
Basically, for those of you who don't know what that means, it is basically when you buy things called "offsets" that is buying like clean credits, methods sponsored a clean energy project that balances out the environmental impact of your driving.
check out some of these links if you want to do something to help the environmental impact you are doing to our precious earth.
TerraPass
Offsetters
Carbonzero
Zero Footprint
Please have a look at these sites when you are having your morning coffees or afternoon lunches. It's scary, but things will drastically change if WE ALL dont do something!
Ok, thats my lecture for the day!!
Well,,.... thats all i have to say for now. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THAT GOOD STUFF!!
I miss everyone a lot in BC, and ill be there in spirit, I hope the Rozic/Shep family likes their presents!! Love you guys.
TK, im glad you like your card.
BYE!

Hey everyone!! Wow, Christmas is coming in 2 sleeps!!! YAY!!

Once again, me and Vlad will not be together, but it should be wicked anyway. My sister and her Greek boyfriend arrive tonight!! Im very excited. Im also very curious to see how her boyfriend likes Canada. I was thinking to myself, no trip to Canada is complete without... WHAT? I was thinking it would be wonderful to go to Banff or Canmore or something like that for a night. Any other suggestions?
Thursday night me and Vlad are hosting a "Christmas Dinner" at our house. I figure since i cant have my husband here with me, ill bring christmas to us! Plus, Toni's boyfriend has never had a canadian christmas dinner before, so hopefully he will enjoy it. Then after we are going to something called "Zoo Lights" They have i think a million lights that are everywhere and they sell hot chocolate (but of course, im making my own to bring along with melted lindt chocolate and fresh steamed milk) and they have fire pits everywhere too!! Im really looking forward to it. Plus, im gonna buy the chickens (no turkey this time) from Safeway so that will save me A TON OF TIME since its on a work night.

So i was reading common ground (its a vancouver paper) and i was very interested in an article that i think you all will be too! Apparently Al Jezeera has a website that has streaming video, Unbiased world coverage on important issues that im sure we all care about, but dont see the whole picture.

Ok, well ill let everyone know how the night went. Talk to you all soon! xoxo

Woweeeeeeee! I get to go home in 5 days!! WEEEE!!! I'm so excited to get back to Vancouver. Specially after the Canucks win last night. Not only that, but at my work we got a brand new 32" hi def monitor, and the guys put a really nice picture of downtown Vancouver on it just to make me more excited!!

Presents have been bought and I kinda feel like Santa bringing them in a suitcase for the fam. Should be a really good Christmas this year. I haven't been anticipating it like this for a good decade. It got lost on me for a couple years now, being busy with work or just preoccupied with other things. But in this case, flying in for the occasion makes it more special somehow. Probably just becuase of how long its been since I've seen everyong, and how long I've been here (which doesn't really feel like that long honestly)

Anyways, I just wanted to wish everyone else who reads this blog a very merry christmas for you and yours, and all the best for the new year. For those in Van city, I'll be flying in on Friday the 22nd, and going back on the 27th. Hopefully I'll be able to make the most of my time and get to see all of you!
Take care everyone :)
