Yo everyone!
So dubrovnik with the rents has been an absolute slice so far.. basking in the sun and viewing very old and historic exhibits, all the while watching soccer at the pub, downing huge pints of heineken/ozuisko, only to come home to the best view imaginable.. man.. life IS rough for us..
True, we want to come home soon.. no argument at all. I have to admit though, this place indeed is making it DAMNed difficult. Its just so special here.. so difficult to get to yes, but very special for sure. Just so much history, and everything is so well preserved and all.. quite nice. Not to mention the water! Oh jeese.. anyway.. we'll talk more about that once we get home and we're missing it. For now, I'll let the pictures, do the talkin.. BING!
Mom and Dad with an old and well preserved canon on the wax to the beach. Just look at the city in behind.. absolutely nothing like it that I've ever seen.. we're definitely being spoiled just being here!
Here is a shot of the town square, which I like to call the town rectangle.. (am I wrong?) from atop the walls that surround the old town. As is obvious in the picture, people byx the hoards travel here to see the sights and beauty of the old town.. mostly from cruise ships do people pour in here.. I have to admit though.. Mia and I officially HATE TOURISTS.. thank god we have earned the prestigious rank of ˝Traveller˝.
This is a another shot from the top of the wall.. as u can see, there is a cruise ship off in the distance, and the sun shining down brightly.. quite a nice day to scale the mammoth fortress and sweat it up..
This is apparently what happened to those who would steal, murder, or pillage in the olden days.. nowadays, this only ever happens to those who have said or done something to make their spouses, or significant others upset. Lucky me.So there you have it! Another day here in the lovely Dalmatia for all of you to see. Tomorrow we'll be on the road again for the last long stretch of travelling day in and day out. T minus 4 days until I turn a 1/4 of a century old, and I think Lobster is on the menu.. mmm

Okay stop it now. You guys are making me ILLLLL. It looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g there - so sunshiny and beautiful and old. I miss you all so much and wish I was there with you! Only a couple more weeks to go..
I woke up this morning to a beautiful bouquet of pink and white flowers and breakfast. Matt and i celebrate our 4th anniversary today! Can you believe that four years ago, Mia was properly introduced to our crazy family at the wedding and Vlad you were drunk and trying to find my overnight bag in some trunk in the parking lot? Ah memories.
Well, it has dawned a beautiful and sunny day here as well. I am going to go for my walk and eat the last of the blackberries on the bushes along the way. Tonight I should be home a little earlier as it has definately slowed down at work due to the "back to schoolness" of everything. I'm planning on making a nice dinner for my beautiful husband and then treating him to a surprise hot stone massage in my newly renovated spa room. On Saturday we made reservations at the Hart House for dinner too and we're really looking forward to that. Yay!
A long story unfolded yesteray with another squirrel capture. I will enlighted when someone calls or when I have the gumption to email. Or hell, I might even wait for when I see you all and have a brandy in my hand.
