Whuttttsssss uppppppp everyone!?!?!?

So Maria mentioned that she wanted to post some pics today, but she forgot to mention the lack of decent internet cafes in our area. There are a couple, but as someone who knows a thing or two about computers, I wouldn't try uploading pictures on a computer that is practically older than me.. soooooo maybe we'll save it until we get back to Bngkok, or better yet Greece..

The good news however is that Chiang Mai is absolutely beautiful, and we really like it here. Mia coined it to be her favorite place to be so far, and I would be hard pressed not to agree.. specially considering the absolutely KICKASS place that we got ahold of for a skyrocketing $9/ night.. which of course includes brand new furniture (honestly.. like, they just built the building and furnished it, and I'm pretty sure my head is the first to be on the pillow) a big fridge, new wardrobe, TV, and very nice bathroom.. it makes it so much nicer when you're staying in a nice quite comfortable space, specially after having to live through the roosters every morning, singing sweet music along with te sound of pickaxes, drills, and power-saws. (Dad, I dunno how you did it with those roosters.. I can't get their sound out of my head!)

So anyways, today we went to explore a little bit of Chiang Mai. We went to a couple of musems and got a chance to see a bit more of the city. Its definitely not what both of us expected initially, but we're very happy that we had a chance to come here. On monday, we'll be taking a train ride down to a place called Phitsanolouk, where we will be catching a bus and going to see a place called Sukhothai. It was once the home of the capital of the first thai empire, and te ruins are apparently quite amazing, so we thought it would be a good way to spend our last couple of days.

We are SO EXCITED TO GO TO GREECE! I'm particularily excited that I get to meet Mia's fam, on top of seeing the country and experiencing it with my lovely greekette at my side to get me outta trouble :)

So with that, I bid to you all good-day... glad to hear that the weather is nice and summer is finally arrived in our fair city.. get out there and ENJOY IT!

Talk to you all in a couple days..

Good morning kids!

That place sounds lovely - especially for 9 bucks! Holy smokes, when I think about how much I have paid for some hotel rooms around here...scandalous..

Matt's mom arrives tomorrow eve so we are doing some last minute cleaning tonight after we're home from work.

Mia - Matt and I were in Starbucks the other morning and the three people that were on shift had these Spongebob cone party hats on their heads in celebration (there was a sign) of someone named "Candice"'s b-day. That lovely Chinese barista man was working away as per usual and we overheard him say to the other two girls "okay girls - is party hat day done yet?" and they yelled "no" at him and he had to keep the hat on. Too funny. See what you're missing??

BTW, how was Pirates of the Orlando?

Have a great day guys and I'll speak to you soon (of course). Time for yoga...k xx

Hallo my children.....

It's great to see that your travels are getting better and better, as time moves on.... Keep a diary and perhaps someday you can write a book and make it easier for others to fallow in your footsteps....

We're all OK....I'm in the process of adding more CRUISE clothes for our trip, but not at such low rates as you have quoted for your duds....Ah well.... We can't all be that lucky....

I'll give you a call on the weekend, so until then, take care...

Love you both, Mom, Dad an Mike...
