So since nobody posted, I can only assume that you all care not for our non-picture posts.. well FINE..

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, Sukothai!

We started EARLY (7:00) this morning, and since today is a national holiday in Thailand, we got in for free.. BOO YEAH! (that one goes out to Monika, who has so lovingly been using it as of late)
This actually is outside of the ancient city, but it deserves fair mention.. it is a Wat, left out amongst a bunch of urban housing.. quite a treat that our Tuk Tuk driver thought we would like... annnnnd we did! Onward...

Okay, I admit, I didn't quite show Sukothai with that first shot, but this mes amis are the creme de la creme. 7:30am, not a single tourist around, and the whole ancient city to ourselves.. this is a shot of the main part of what is left. Sukothai's ruins are (apparently) much better preserved than those at Ayuttaya, and more intricate. We were blown away just walking through here.. as you can see, it is a marvel to look at just in picture form.. add in the atmosphere of a cool, not yet sun warmed breeze running across your face in a serine woody plain. Aghhhh too nice! Maria was claming that she wasn't sure if she was still asleep, or if it was a dream..

This is a good example of just how nice of an area it was.
The landscape was full of green grass, swaying trees and ancient relics that you just cannot find anywhere else. What a perfect way to finish off our tour of this marvelous country.
Of course, these were my thoughts, BEFORE we got on the 10 hour bus ride from hell.. tee hee >:(
At least there was no freaking Karaoke!

I think words are kinda unnecessary.. feast your eyes :D

Again, words aren't quite needed to describe me being a dumbass and pretending to be flying on a bike with it's kickstand out.. bravo!

Naturally we have tons more photos, but if you wanna see then you'll just have to be present at our coming home party. What, you thought the Rozics would only have the party for our departure?? Seeing as how we'll be joing up with Mama and Papa Rozic, I think a festa is in order, no?

So yeah, after Sukothai, we found ourselves on a bus for a verrrry long time. Since its a holiday here, buses and trains are all packed to the gills, and people from all over Thailand have been pouring into Bangkok to get back for whatever it is they do tomorrow. We're very beat up, but our spirits are still high, and we're looking forward to grabbing a good night sleep and (cracks knuckles) some SHOPPIIINGGGGGGGGG ahahahahahahaha.
I was hoping that Maria would cut my shoping frenzy at the neck, and me her, but its kinda turned more into her and I scheming in what else we need to get while we're here. She is a lovely gal I might say :D

Greece here we come!! We have a map and we're comin to raise hell.. don't worry rents, we have reception, and you will hear from us before we take off. Talk to you all soon!! XOXOX

hey kids,
I like the photos except they are a bit dark. I especially like the last photo of vlad on his "vespa". Sorry vlad but you look like one of those clowns at the circus who rides the mini bike, I had to chuckle when I say it.
Don't spend all your money shopping, you still have Greece, Croatia and other little stops in between ;o)
I'm glad I got to hear your voice Mia. love you

Okay Vlad. Love the bike shot! You are such a goof..

I think I really need to get myself to Thailand at some point in my life, now that I have seen some of your photos and read all your stories. So lovely and it's definately in the cards.

It's bloody raining here today and I'm PISSED. My poor MIL (mother-in-law) Anna. Everytime someone from the UK comes to visit us, it seems to rain, even in the heart of the SUMMER. AAAARGH! You just can't win in this city, I tells ya.

Anyways, I'm off to work in a bit and mom is going to take Anna out to the wilds of Metrotown to take her shopping since it's such a craptastic day.

Tomorrow we are having a bbq at the parentals house and Gavin and Marieka are coming with the kiddos too, so should be nice and here's hoping it doesn't, I don't know, RAIN again. Grr. Thank God for mom and dad, they are just such great hosts and I really appreciate them being so helpful and warm to my MIL (cheers MA!).

We went to see a Bard on the Beach production of Measure for Measure last night and were, I hate to say it, completely bored to tears. Honestly. I can't say that I've ever left a play early before, but we were all falling asleep after having had a lovely dinner at Sandbar and the play was just so convoluted, hard to understand (and yes I know it's the Bard, but even so I've never had this kind of problem before - the language was just like - "Wha?" most of the time) that by the time intermission rolled around we were all like - "let's go" and so we did. So three thumbs down from the Shepherds here. Boo!

I better go and put my game face on now as it's almost time to go back into Spa Divine drama. Thank God I have next week off is all I have to say because sometimes that place just starts to mess with ya. Mia - I know you understand..

Love you guys and Vlad thanks again for the email. I will reply as soon as I have another stolen moment here..

k x
