Well well well.. here we are again with yet another installment of the Vlad and Maria Fantasy Escape.

Today's set of adventues brings us to the heart of Thailand, Bangkok.

Drumroll please....

*Sigh* Here is where Mia and I have been spending all our bloody time. This frigging mall is like a black hole that sucks in everything that comes near.

Good food, cheap internet, video games and tons and tons of shopping. What more could you ask for??

Did I mention also that ALL malls here are ridiculously lavish?!?! Mom you would get lost here for a week before you found the front door :)

Pic of the Siam Station. Once we realized that we couldn't walk everywhere to see the city, we braved it and bought a rail pass. The train doesn't go all over the city, but it did get us to certain parts of the town that we needed to go, like Silom Rd. where we found Egypt Air and other agencies where we could buy our future travel tickets.

Without a doubt, the highlite of the Bangkok trip so far was our trek to the Giant Reclining Buddah. This picture doesn't even do it any justice at all.. it is HUGE. Walking into the temple and witnessing the sheer size of this piece of work leaves you breathless. We could only stand and stare to try and take in the magnitude of what we were looking at. It was truly one of the most humbling moments that I've had so far..
Obviously this is about 1/10th of the full size..

...and here is the rest of it!

We also took a day out of our time here to visit the Grand Palace, located right next to the Temple housing the Buddah shown above. This is apparently where the King lives.. not too shabby at all if I do say so myself..

So I did just try and upload a buncha other pics, but this blogger site is a piece of junk and it won't recognize the pictures like its done sooooo many times now.. rest assured I will post more of them very soon, probably next chance I'm online.

To give a quick update, we have all our tickets set up, and we're ready to fly! This sunday we'll take off and travel to Luang Prabang in Loas, and from there after a week to 10 days we'll find our way to Chiang Mai, all in the Northern parts of the countries.

We'll keep you all posted.. also, we have cell phones, so if any of you want to keep in touch with us via SMS, send us your phone numbers and we will message you, and then you reply etc..

Take care everyone, and keep posted.. more to follow very soon!

Much love, Vlad and Mia!

Hi you guys. Kath here (again). It is now 11am Thursday morning and I am starting to feel queasy because Croatia is playing in under an hour (vs Aussies). My hours are different today (1-9) so at least I can catch some of the game before I have to go to work. Wish us luck!!!
