Hello everyone! We apologize for not posting sooner, but we've been pretty low and lazy lately, enjoying the cool nights and slow movements of Luang Prabang.
Without too much fuss, here's some photos! :)

Here is the lovely Maria whilst our bike ride posing in front of the foliage that is all over this place. Its still very hot, but the air is fresh, unlike Bangkok where it most certainly is not!
It's nice to be able to finally ride BICYCLES around a town.. everywhere we've been only ever hires out motorbikes.. quite a shame since you can see so much more while biking!

This is a good example of the kind of houses people here have. I beleive this particular one is a guesthouse, not very different from one that we're staying in. Luang Prabang definitely makes you feel very at home, like you're in a small town outside of Vancouver.. very cool!

While Wat hunting yesterday, we saw many buddahs, as to be expected. This one stood out as it was all alone in the corner of the property, and basically deserted. It's so peaceful to be able to just kneel down in front of a huge statue like this and let your mind roooooam....

Here is a (blurry) shot of the night market that happens here every day.. people literally set up and tear down this market that occupies a full two blocks of road, and is shut down to traffic. Most of the vendors sell the same stuff, but for ridiculously cheap! We plan on doing this up in a couple days, when we decide what we really like ;)

What do you get when you cross a Croat, a Frenchie, a German, some Dutchies, and a Greek?? This picture! (since I built it up so nicely) We sat down at the lovely Nazim Indian restaurant and stocked up on butter chicken and masalaaaaa..

There is another photo that goes with this one, but it's totally Rated R.. if you're really nice, mayyyybe you'll get a looksy.
Basically, in Laos, they don't beleive in "change" (DAMN PENNIES! HA!) and their currency is entirely bills.. funny thing is that each of these bills equals about $2.. since we exchanged enough to sustain ourselves for a week, they gave us HUGE stacks.. totally feel like a millionaire here!
Hope you all enjoy the pics! Parents, we're doing grand, and looking forward to talking with you guys soon! Mom and Kath, expect an email next time around, and to the rest of the fam, hope you're doing well.
To everyone else, we MISS YOU!!!! Hope everyone is doing okay, and hope we're still in your thoughts because you're all in ours!
Aight, I'm out.. l8a!

im missing you too
Good morning you two!
It's another beautiful sunshiney day here in Burnaby. I am just getting ready to go for my walk before I have to go and to work and lock myself in the wax room for 8 hours (Summer is officially here, that's for sure!).
Mom and Dad were up here yesterday helping to do all our gardening, weeding and stripping of the peeling paint from our side fence there. What would we do without our amazing Landlords! The side of our house would turn into Wild Kingdom without them...
I am off on Saturday this weekend for the Canada Day thingy and Matt and I are so excited. We are watching the England game Sat morning (pray for us!) and then doing some running around getting ready for Matt's mom's emminent arrival and also for our planned fishing trip with Dad. Vlad - we're doing the ridiculous early morning time again and leaving at like 2:30am Sunday. Watch out fishies!!
It looks like you've landed in another beautiful place there. And Vlad - it also looks like you are rapidly becoming addicted to CURRY. A-HA!! Iron Stomach Vlad tours the East! Loves it..
Okay - enjoy your day you two and know that me and the Mattoush love you and miss you both.
Bye for now - your sister xxx
Hallo again my kidolinos....
I tried to write to you yesterday, but could not get my message posted, so I'm trying it again now...
I've just read your personal email to us girls, and am pleased that all is well with both of you, and that you have remembered your beautiful country Canada on her 139th birthday... How young we are in comperison to the countries in which you're traveling right now.... We've just watched Germany & Italy move ahead to semi-finals so the soccer fever is still on ... Maria hang in there ....It will all be over soon...
Now for some good food waiting for you when you come to Greece and Croatia ...sans fried rice...maybe even my culinary skills will entice you, my son, when you come home....HA HA ,,,,or maybe not...
Love you both, and safe travels
Your MOM, DAD & MICHAEL....
