Hey All!
So weve settled into a cute little bungalow called Kings something or other blah blah... Really cute. We went to go and look at one suggested in lonely planet and it was such a crap hole. 500 bhat they were asking, so we kept walking. We came upon this cute place and for 300 bhat more a night, we have air con , tv, hot shower and fridge, and the property is so quaint and close to the beach, it was so worth it. Let me also add, on a completely unrelated note, that bras here SUCK and are unnecessary. I have exiled them to the nearest garbage (which are practically non-existent here) for the duration of the trip. Woo hoo!

^^^ That was Maria typing out.. now this is me. V!
So yes, what she said is true.. we have settled in and plan on staying for a couple of nights, and thank god for no bras :) True.
I have to admit I was getting a little worried about how this was all going to come to fruition. We left our first bungalow (shown in the last post) and have certainly upgraded. Again, though the cost is more, the place just cannot be beat.
Here is a quick show of what we're talkin abooot..

to give a quick recap of the day, we found a nice little restaurant called "Three Monkeys" where we sat and ate (free pool and internet access) not far from our place. We managed to check our page and see all your guys' comments which, again, we appreciate SO MUCH.. you guys have NO idea how nice it is to be able to keep in touch and see that people haven't forgotten about us.
Yes its only been a couple of days, but we feel like we've been gone ages already.

Anyways, so we got back, and it was time for the beach.. no words can at ALL explain this event, so I'll let some of the photos do the talking.

We initially had planned to stay at Mae Nom, which is where we first stopped once we got to Samui, however, our truck driver just kept ripping down the road and we had no idea where to stop, so we ended up going all the way to Chaweng, which has the longest (6km) nicest of the beaches on the island. we hadn't planned on coming here until next week but.. oh well. we paid them a suprise visit.. :)
After our very difficult day of swimming and tanning, and in my case burning, we decided to go out to one of the few indian restaurants here in Chaweng.
Maharajas its called, and baby, I was packing an artery and ready to chow.
Great service, absolutely FANTASTIC food, and one of our servers looks shockingly similar to Adrian Brody! So in his first public appearance since the Pianist, HERE HE IS!

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I know hey??? And you thought I was full of Chana Massala.. well that too :)
Anyway, that's all for now.. stay tuned for your next installment of "where are those loonies now"!

p.s. im making vlad come with me to the four seasons spa for some pampering thai style, and its gonna be so awesome!
p.p.s. I'm only doing it so that I don't get the look for the whole rest of the trip :P

Again...

I am such a nerd that the first thing I do every morning (after a cup of Mia's addictive coffee goes on) I turn on the computer and it's been absolutely wonderful to feel like I'm following along on this adventure with you both. I hope you don't mind my posting back everytime and annoying all the other readers ..(sorry)

What can I say - $25 a night for that wonderful little place??? You guys must be in SEVENTH HEAVEN! And no bras either??? MATT - Get me a ticket to Thailand STAT! And curry for dinner with a rather tanned looking Adrian Brody serving you? Damn! Noooot faaaaaiiiir. You guys are making me rethink just what it is exactly that I am doing with my life (or have been doing..hmm). The beach and water look absolutely stunning. I am so proud and happy for you to be there and experiencing all of it (and also am so amazed that we can all experience it with you like this!) Have a curry for your sister you guys...

Mom/Dad and Mike came over for a soggy bbq yesterday. Matt managed to put the fire to the meat underneath our patio unbrella as it tipped down on him out there. It was really lovely having them over - but you both really were missing (a couple of empty spaces at the dinner table...sigh). They are both so happy that they can read and see your adventures as well - so keep the posts coming!

Matt and I parted this morning as he went back to work to "go sit at a desk all day" and I've got to get ready to do a pedi and some waxing at home in a little bit. Wish we were there with you...

Enjoy guys - and I look forward to the next installment!

PS- Vlad - what did I tell you about the sunscreen? And you no listen huh? Always reapply LOTS after a swim or if you are sweating. Skin cancer is no joke my friend. I have seen it in action on some of my clients and it sucks huge. You too Marushka with that fair Grecian skin!

Love you guys - K xx
